Steps to Take In A Pet Emergency

If you and your pet are experiencing a veterinary emergency, take the following steps.

  • Call Ahead If Possible - If your emergency is occurring during our regular business hours or before 10:00 pm call us immediately. After this time, contact the emergency animal hospital displayed above to inform them that you are on the way.
  • Follow Instructions Provided - When you call to let the emergency pet hospital know you are on your way, they may give you instructions to help you give your pet first aid or to make them as comfortable as possible. Follow these instructions carefully.
  • Remain Calm - Stay calm and be extra careful around your companion. When animals are in pain they sometimes react negatively towards anyone trying to help and could scratch or bite.
  • Bring Your Pet In For Care - Don't put yourself in danger! Bring your pet safely to our Sonora animal hospital or the after-hours emergency vet location above.
